For sale, We have a 1996 40 HP Evinrude. we just got the motor and the compression is even on both cylinders and within specs. It run pretty good. . Its a clean motor overall.It does have power trim. It does have the gas assist tilt but we tried that and it didn't seem to work properly but we already fixed that. Motor is being sold as is but we are describing it to the best of our knowledge.

This listing is for a clean and smooth running Mercury 35 HP outboard engine. We are offering this engine at a discount since it has been in storage for years and will likely need the carb cleaned prior to using it on the water. It starts easy and runs very well. The compression is perfect and an even 120 psi on both cylinders. It pumps plenty of water in shifts flawlessly but we always recommend a new water pump prior to going out on the water. This engine has never seen salt water and is in beautiful condition but does show some signs of age. It comes complete as pictured, please not the front cowling cover is Missing. This engine does not have power tilt/trim.
