This complete 5.7L INBOARD MPI engine package is designed to replace most INBOARD 5.0L (305ci) and 5.7L (350ci) marine engine INBOARD applications (direct drive, down angle, and V-Drive). This engine package and all of the components are brand new. If you have an existing Crusader, PCM, Indmar, MerCruiser, or any other inboard or V-drive set-up with transmission and with an existing 5.0L or 5.7L inboard engine, then this 5.7L MPI engine will work in your existing boat. Use your existing Borg Warner, ZF Hurth, Velvet Drive, etc transmission or we can supply you with a new transmission. This 5.7L MPI engine includes a 5th generation ECM (MEFI 5 computer) which provides 15%-30% better gas mileage, built-in engine rev limiter, and added horsepower/torque over the 5.7L carbureted version. This 5.7L MPI engine is rated at 325hp and is set up for an inboard application (top mount starter, inboard bell housing, inboard flywheel, damper plate, and remote oil filter). The L82 is a 5.3 liter, eight-cylinder engine from General Motors used in pickup trucks. Featuring an OverHead Valve (OHV), or “push-rod” design” in a “V” configuration, the L82 is part of GM’s Gen V Small Block engine architecture that’s known in trucks and SUVs as EcoTec3.
